So as promised its time to actually review the beer. Ready for it?

100_0351It was cold, mildly flavored, and had alcohol in it. Ok seriously I only had two varieties: Steel Reserve 211 Taaaall boys, and Miller High Life (which was mixed in with a Steel Reserve in the beer bong).

Steel Reserve is to me my “cheap beer of choice” if you know me at all you probably know how much crap I gave Todd (the crazy dude that rides his fixie on every trail Austin has to offer)100_0332 about Steel Reserve being a “good beer.” Well I finally gave it an honest shot and at 6.50 for a 12 pack, yes I said 12, its kinda hard to beat. Toss in the fact that it is 7.6% and oh so light bodied (aka goes down pretty easy) its a good drinkin’ beer. Just the way us redneck backwoods dudes like it (it’s ok I can say that I grew up in N. East Texas and spent a lot of days ranching) cheap, easy to drink, and comes in tall boys. I must admit to find the big cans I had to go to 4 convenience stores and actually ended up buying a case of what normally would have been single serve cans out in the ice chests, which probably fit more with the theme of the night anyways.

I can speak from experience this is not an easy beer to shotgun, however load up the beer bong and it goes down just like anything else except packs a bit more punch. If you haven’t tried this beer you owe it to yourself to sheepsihly buy a 12 pack (your only out $6.50 if you hate it), just wear sunglasses and inscopicous clothes in your worried about being spotted. You just might find a new cheap brew that is worth drinking. 100_0327Be careful though a whole twelve pack and your ass starts to get big. Also HH and the blog writers assume no responsiblity for the actions that may or may not happen after consumption of this awful(ly) glorious beer. 100_0395
