I’m a Corona Man (sometimes)

Well as summer draws to a close at least according the calendar, and it hits fall like tempatures (anyhting sub 97 counts in Texas), I realized this weekend what my “Summer Beer” has been this year. It was not a cognitive choice rather a reflective observation that I choose to drink Corona a lot in the summer.

It’s merits: Cheap, well brewed at least in my opinion, easily found, goes down easy, 4 of them does not feel like a death sentence for my already bloated belly. corona

Downsides: for me its a summer only beer and it goes best with some limon or a real Lime. In fact I would rather drink something else if it must go sans additive. Now some would argue that this makes it a lesser beer, based on the fact that a truly good beer needs no additive. I am not of this school of thought for the same reason that though I come of a beef raising, red meat loving and devouring lineage I would never suggest that someone not season their steak. While I think a cow taste great just dead and charred I can still get down on some raspberry chipotle marinaded steak or whatever the evenings main course is covered in.

Of course it goes truly great with some salsa and chips, but lets not limit ourselves to this narrow scope of thought, it is also a great post ride refilling drink, cleaning the house drink, really anytime it is warm out it goes great with me and my tastes. Not that this is a foreign beer to any the readers here (but it is, oh it is), i still suggest you hurry out and try it before it drops below 97 degrees and we all start wearing parkas and mittens.
