Twenty9 XC Wheelset -1420 gram Carbon wheelset durable enough for training & racing
The start line often comes at the end of a rigorous week of trail riding. Most of us understand that racing is, even at the highest level of sport, only a small percentage of the time spent in the saddle.
Many have two wheel sets --one training set used for day-in-day out riding, and reserved solely for racing. Those days are over.
ENVE XC is the lightest in Enve's mountain line with the mindset of what goes down, must first go up. Stiff, light, and durable this wheelset's pedigree is racing.
If the mention of 100K makes you think of riding and not how much money you want to make, then this wheelset is for you.
The wheels are built w/ Enve's XC Carbon 29er rims, DT240 hubs w/ 15mm Thru Front, and Sapim CX Ray spokes.

Uncle Squatch's Review:
Have been running the Enve Twenty9 XC wheels on this beauty
One word: STIFF! Everything you are reading about these wheels is spot-on. They are incredibly stiff, so much so, that I was able to lower tire & suspension pressures to allow the RDO to hook up even better.
The 1420gram weight is an amazing thing as well, wheels ramp up like the old 26er days. Plus, the 1420gram weight makes this Bike Squatch feel like 160lbs on the climbs (well the RDO contributes to that as well).
Durability? Our trails here in town are really technical, tons of rock gardens & exposed roots. I have thumped these wheels hard 4 or 5 times, tire smashed to the rim & all, and it hasn't fazed the wheels one bit.
I weigh 200lbs and ride aggressively, so they are definitely up to the task.
Now I just need to try them out on this!
